Mandates
- Prepare a consolidate annual financial statements for government
- Revise and issue finance and accounting regulations and guidelines to MDAs
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Provide clarification and interpretation on finance and accounting practices
- Provide information on government expenditure to the relevant stakeholders
- Promote good financial management practices through PFM reform initiatives
- Operate a common public expenditure account for the release of public funds
- Proper maintenance of public accounts
- Develop accounting standards, reporting guidelines and undertake some research in identified areas of financial reporting
