Minister of Finance discusses economic progress with African Development Bank

The visiting Executive Director of the African Development Bank, Mr. Jonathon Nzayikorera discussed the country’s economic progress with the Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon. Dr. Dier Tong Ngor.

The AfDB official commended the positive development projects executed by the government of South Sudan despite the challenges faced in the implementation of the Peace Agreement.

Mr. Jonathon urged the minister to device a mechanism of engagement with the donor community to boost cooperation, strengthen relations and increase sources of funding to South Sudan.

The minister of Finance and Planning assured the country’s commitment to uphold and support the activities of Pan African banks like Africa Development Bank in furthering the interest of member states and empower the institution.
