MINISTRY OF FINANCE SIGNS 11 MILLION USD AGREEMENT WITH AfDB AND UNESCO TO SUPPORT TVET PROGRAMS

The Ministry of Finance and Planning signed a Tripartite Funding and Implementation Agreement with African Development Bank and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at a tune of 11.3 Million USD.

The grant is concerning the support for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and value chain projects in three identified Ministries namely; General Education, Higher Education and Labor and Industrial Relations.

The Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon. Dr. Bak Barnaba Chol signed on behalf of the government and AfDB country Manager Mr. Themba Bhebhe signed on behalf of the Africa Development Bank while Dr. Tap Raj Pant signed on behalf of UNESCO.

The tripartite agreed projects are expected to commence early next year effecting capacity building, manpower development and exchange of technological know-how among the people of South Sudan in various part of the country.
