The Ministry of Finance and Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Service and Human Resource Development graduated the first batch and second batch of civil servants and public accountants as well as unclassified staff at the Government Accountancy Training Centre in Juba.
In his key note address, Vice President, H.E. Hussein Abdelbagi Akol who doubles as the chairperson of Services Cluster called on the organizers to extend such trainings to DG’s and Undersecretaries to boost their capacity and equip them with the modern technocratic system of governance.
Hussien urged the concerned institutions to redeploy the graduated batches across the country in order to implement their newly acquired knowledge and skills of public service and accountancy system.
The Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon. Dr. Dier Tong Ngor pledged his ministry’s commitment to cooperate with the ministry of public service, together with development partners in support of such trainings to build capacity of the local workforce and empower public servants.
